~Entry Fee and Registration~
An entry fee of R100 is payable via the ticketing website linked in this event page. Or, at the venue before the tournament from 9:00 – 9:20. Please note that this is only entry to the tournament, and does NOT include your ICON 2016 entrance fee.
There is a limit of 64 players for this tournament, so it is highly reccommended to pre-book via the ticket website to secure your space.
Space is afforded to those who book via the ticketing website first, and then a first-come-first-served system will be implemented on the day of the tournament until the 64 seats are filled. If the 64 seats are filled before the day of the tournament, there will be no registrations accepted on the day.
If pre-booked, on the day of the tournament be sure to check-in with the tournament officials so they are aware you are present and ready to play.
Entry to the tournament is open to everyone, but the grand prize will only be granted to a player age 18 and older.
~Prizes~
The grand prize awarded to first place includes:
– Round trip flight ticket from O.R Tambo International in Johannesburg to Durango, Colorado, USA (Sponsored by Solarpop Distribution)
– Round trip ground transportation in USA, accomodation and meals for the duration of the World Championship event (Sponsored by Catan World Championship organisers)
Product prizes will also be awarded to the runner-ups at the final table.

*About The Catan World Championship*
The CWC will be held September 23-25, 2016, and is taking place at a uniquely authentic venue in a richly historical area of the American west. You can find more information and pictures of The Historic Strater Hotel at http://strater.com/ and information on the town of Durango at http://www.durango.org/.
During the event all contestants will have their lodging and meals covered as well as being able to participate in multiple events to encourage camaraderie and the forming of new relationships with other Catan players from around the world.
