Unplug Yourself is a movement that wishes to expose all South Africans to the joys of playing games. Unplug Yourself visits multiple conventions and exhibitions like Comic Con Africa, and host activations at local retailers across the country. We would love to offer you the opportunity to share your love for games and become part of our Game Guide team!
Being a Game Guide gives you the opportunity to teach people your hobby and encourage them to help grow the community. Assist with launches of new releases, teaching Young Family games to children and demonstrating games such as Pokémon to the next generation of players.
Unplug Yourself is the authority on what, when and where, regarding all things tabletop gaming. This initiative aims to teach people the joys of these hobbies and turn South Africa into a nation of tabletop gamers. Want to become a part of this?

Game Guide Benefits

Game Guide Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Preferably have your own reliable transport.
- Know how to play and teach trading card games or board games.
- Have a valid email address and contact number.
- Valid bank account.
- Be able to work over weekends and/or public holidays.
- Be responsible, reliable, take instruction and able to work well with others.
Game Guide Roles
- You will be required to teach people about a system.
- Assist with the set up and break down of stands.
- Game Guides might be required to jump between roles depending on their schedules.
