Event Rundown:
The Star Wars Legion event will span a full day, featuring two rounds of intense gameplay. The tournament will follow a Swiss-pairing system, ensuring fair matchups for all participants. In the event of ties, tiebreakers will be determined based on the strength of schedule. Rest assured, all event rulings adhere to the latest Galactic Conquest Event Packet available on the Atomic Mass Games website.
Date, Time, and Location:
Mark your calendars for July 29th, 2023, and head to Sword & Board at Unit 7 Point Business Park, Milnerton, Cape Town, 7441. Registration will begin promptly at 09:30, with the first game starting at 10:00 and the day culminating in an exciting prize ceremony at 16:00.
Prizes and Registration:
To secure your spot in the event, a registration fee of R100.00 per person is required. This fee will be fully allocated to the podium placements prize support. Tickets can be conveniently purchased online via the provided link. As an added bonus, early ticket holders will automatically enter a lucky draw, with a chance to win fantastic prizes.
Please remember that there are limited spots available, with only 16 openings for this event. Make sure to register promptly via the Longshanks link provided. Additionally, it is essential to submit your full faction list on Longshanks at least three days prior to the event for organizers to review. Don’t worry, your list will remain confidential until the event day when it becomes public knowledge.
A Galaxy of Prizes:
The event promises an array of exciting prizes to reward participants. In addition to podium placements, where the top three players will be awarded store vouchers, there will be four random faction prizes for Rebel, GAR, CIS, and Empire players. These faction prizes will consist of highly detailed resin proxy miniatures.
Moreover, attendees who purchased their tickets before June 26th, 2023, and join the event will automatically enter a lucky draw, with the chance to win a R500.00 Unplug Yourself voucher. On the day of the event, several more prizes, including an Essentials kit and a set of Order Token Holders, will be randomly distributed among lucky attendees.
Ruleset and Regulations:
To ensure a fair and balanced gameplay experience, the event will follow the standard 800 points rules and rank requirements outlined in the latest Core Rulebook (Version 2.5.2). Point allocations will adhere to the most recent Points Adjustment Document (Version 2.6). Battleplan decks must be set up without any unique scenario cards, such as the escape pod.
In the spirit of fair play, collusion is strictly forbidden. Attendees are expected to act with integrity and respect throughout the event. Game times will be strictly adhered to, so players should discuss terrain and lists beforehand to ensure a smooth and timely gaming experience. Should any disputes arise, event organizers will be readily available to assist and mediate.
