What if Comic Con Africa was a giant escape room? What if the only way to escape was to have as many awesome experiences as possible? If having a memorable Comic Con Africa experience is what you’re after, then join us for the EXIT: CCA Treasure Hunt Challenge.
The EXIT: CCA Treasure Hunt Challenge will see participants explore Comic Con and participate in multiple activities, visit vendors and awesome areas inside of the convention and document memorable moments on social media. Completing as many tasks as possible will put you in line to win daily and spot prizes as well as a grand prize at the end of the Comic Con Africa.
How do I participate?
To participate: simply download and print your Task List from this link (Going live on 19-09-2022). You can also claim your Task List from the Unplug Yourself Info Booth located at the entrance of Comic Con Africa.
With your Task List in hand, race to complete as many experiences as possible. Some tasks you complete will earn you a verification sticker where you have completed the task, others you will need to report back at the Unplug Yourself Info Booth and deliver proof in the form of a social media post with the correct #tag to earn your verification sticker for the task. (the #tags will be specified by each task)
Step 1:
Start your day at the Unplug Yourself Info Booth to collect or present your Task List and claim your first completed task verification stickers. If you participate over multiple days, ensure to visit the info booth daily to claim your multi-day verification.
Step 2:
Go on an adventure and complete as many of the tasks as you can possibly fit into your Comic Con experience. Tasks doesn’t need to be completed in order and you are welcome to skip an experience if it is not to your liking. The aim is to have fun on your terms.
Step 3:
Tasks will specify if you need to claim a verification sticker at the experience, or if you need to verify at the Unplug Yourself Info Booth by presenting your social media posts as proof.
We would suggest visiting the Unplug Yourself Info Booth a few times during the day to verify your tasks to avoid a last-minute rush at the end of the day.
Step 4:
The Treasure Hunt Challenge will run over all 4 days of Comic Con but even if you cannot attend the show on multiple days, don’t fear. You will still be in line to win!
If you choose to end your hunt knowing that it is your last day at Comic Con, please ensure to visit the Info Booth before 17:00 to verify and submit your Task List.

- Like and Follow the Unplug Yourself Page on Facebook and / or Instagram
- Bring a NON-BREATHING mascot along on your journey
- Dress for the occasion – come in cosplay or dressed for adventure
- Bring your own printed Task List (available HERE from 19-09-2022)
- Bring a friend – introduce us to a friend who will be hunting with you

Single Day Participation: Daily Prize Draw
Prize Hamper awarded to the most tasks completed / points earned for the day.
(A Single Day Participation prize will be awarded each day for participants who only used 1 day to complete their Task List)
Two Day Participation: Prize Draw on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Prize Hamper awarded to the most tasks completed / points earned after two days.
(A Two-Day Participation prize winner will be awarded on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to participants who used 2 days to complete their Task List)
Grand Prize - Full Con Participation: Prize Draw on Sunday
Prize Hamper awarded to the most tasks completed / points earned after three / four days.
(A Full Con Participation prize winner will be awarded on Sunday to participants who used 3 to 4 days to complete their Task List.)
Please remember to check in with the info booth daily to receive your multi-day participation verification.
Daily Lucky Draw
Even if you didn’t collect the most verification stickers, you still have a chance to win. A random lucky draw winner will be selected from all completed Task Lists submitted on the day.
T&C’s
- Please ensure that your Task Lists are verified at the Info Booth and submitted by 17:00 to be eligible to win.
- If you are working towards completing your Task List over multiple convention days DO NOT submit them to the Info Booth until you have completed your hunt.
- Any Task List completed and submitted into a prize draw will under no circumstances be returned to a participant.
- Participants do not have to be present for the prize draws to receive their prizes. Winners will be contacted telephonically to make arrangements for their prizes to be shipped within 10 working days after the closure of Comic Con Africa. The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The participants are required to supply their Name and Surname as well as their contact number and e-mail address to be eligible to enter the EXIT: CCA Treasure Hunt Challenge. By doing so participants give Unplug Yourself / Solarpop Distribution permission to enter their details into our mailer data base. Participants will have the option to unsubscribe from the data base at any time. Our data base and / or participant details will under no circumstances be shared, sold or made public to any external party.
- Unplug Yourself / Solarpop Distribution reserves the right to announce winners on our social media platforms daily by naming winners, tagging winners, or by posting a photo of the winner taken at the prize draw (it is not mandatory for winners to be present at the prize draw to be eligible to receive their prize.)
