Overview of the South Africa Catan League
1. Organization
Each league event will be hosted by Unplug Yourself at numerous local game stores across the country. This ensures that players from various regions have the opportunity to participate and showcase their skills.
2. Structure
The South Africa Catan League operates on a structured format involving three round-robin rounds of gameplay per league event, spread over several dates. The top 40 participants nationally will receive an invite to participate in the South Africa Catan Nationals 2024, scheduled to be hosted in Cape Town in November 2024. All events will be hosted on Unplug Yourself Organised Play system through Best Coast Pairings.
3. Participants
Players from various cities and regions across South Africa participate in the league, contributing to a diverse and competitive gaming environment. The league includes both casual players looking to improve their skills and more competitive players aiming to climb the rankings.
4. Scoring and Rankings
Points are awarded based on performance in league matches. Victory Points earned through league play will accumulate during all league sessions, allowing players to track their progress and standings.
5. Community Engagement
Participation in the South Africa Catan League fosters community engagement among players who share a love for the game. Regular league events provide opportunities for social interaction, building friendships, and exchanging strategies.
