Counterfeit cards have been designed to look like the real product, but there are subtle differences between fake and genuine cards. There are four simple ways to see whether a card is a genuine or a counterfeit card –  once these are known, the fake cards become obvious to spot.

By comparing the text of a genuine card to that of a fake card, you will notice the differences in the use of font, the spacing and alignment of text on a card and gramattical errors.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is fisrt and foremost a Japanese game – the cards used in the English version start their life as Japanese cards and improper translations are a tell-tale sign of a fake.
